Anita Faulkner, LPC, graduated with a Master of Science degree in Community Counseling from UNC-Greensboro. She works primarily with children, adolescents, parents, and families, emphasizing evidence-based practices in various settings including office, in-home, and school-based. Anita is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Incredible Years, and Child-Parent Psychotherapy.

 

 

 

 

Chris Faulkner, LCSW, graduated with a Master of Social Work degree from UNC-Chapel Hill. With over 18 years experience, he specializes in working with children and their families in various settings. He is trained in Incredible Years and focuses on improving the social-emotional development of children and families. Chris is the founder of Family Solutions.  He loves Carolina Basketball and playing practical jokes around the office.

 

 

 

Kristen Davidson, is a clinical counseling intern working for Family Solutions.  She will be graduating in May 2012 with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her areas of interest include improving  social, emotional, and behavioral issues in young children, adolescents, and families. She enjoys bringing creativity into her sessions through art and play therapy.

 

 

 

Kelly N. Graves, PhD-HSP-P, graduated with a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and completed her clinical internship at Emory University School of Medicine.  In addition to conducting child and adult psychological assessments, Dr. Graves has experience with individual, group, and family therapy with children, adolescents, and their families.  Dr. Graves enjoys using a strengths-based approach and has a particular expertise working with children exposed to violence and/or trauma and their families.

 

 

 

Emily Hull, LPC, earned a Master of Science degree at Georgia State University and studied at the Psychological Studies Institute. She has 12 years of experience, and specializes in grief counseling with children and adults, play/expressive therapy, assessments, and working with individuals with special needs and their families. Emily is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Child-Parent Psychotherapy.

 

 

 

Rachel S. Hutto, LPCA, graduated with a Master of Science degree in Families and Couples Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her areas of interest include adolescents, parenting issues, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and behavioral issues in children. She brings energy and enthusiasm to her sessions.

 

 

 

 

Gretchen Jacox, MSW, P-LCSW, received her Master's from the joint social work program at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and NC A&T. She has experience working with young children and parents with behavioral issues. Gretchen provides Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and is trained in Incredible Years and Child-Parent Psychotherapy.

 

 

 

 

Carla Meissner, graduated from N.C.S.U. with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.  She is responsible for intake calls, new referrals and that things run smoothly in our office.  Carla enjoys playing tennis, reading and spending time with her husband and three daughters.

 

 

 

 

 

Sirlena Pinnix, LCSW, earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has over 10 years of experience working with children and adults with mental illness and developmental disabilities. She specializes in working with children and families involved in the foster care system and in-home counseling.

 

 

 

 

Emily Shields, LCSW, graduated with a Master of Social Work degree from East Carolina University. She has over 11 years of experience working with behavioral and emotional issues that affect children and their families. She also specializes in bereavement counseling, community-based services and clinical work with pre-schools and Head Start. Emily is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Incredible Years, and Child-Parent Psychotherapy.

 

 

 

Lisa Taylor, MSW, P-LCSW, graduated with a Master of Social Work degree from the University of South Carolina. She has experience working with individuals and groups to help regulate emotions and improve interpersonal relationships. Lisa is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Child-Parent Psychotherapy.

 

 

 

 

 

Jose Villalba, PhD , graduated from the University of Florida with a Ph.D. in Counseling and Counselor Education. His areas of interest include enhancing the personal-social development of children and adolescents, improving the relationships between children and caregivers, and addressing issues of social-justice. He also is bilingual in English and Spanish, and hopes to expand the mental health options to the community’s Latino population.

 

Rachel Walters, graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from UNC-Greensboro.  She is interested in hearing individual and family stories to assist them as they transition into therapy.She is responsible for intake calls, new referrals and that things run smoothly in our office.  In her free time she enjoys fitness and nutrition, playing her guitar, reading, writing and spending time with family and friends.

 

 

 

Kelly Wester, PhD, LPC, NCC, graduated with a PhD in Counseling and Counselor Education from Kent State University. Dr. Wester specializes in working with adolescents and families in individual, family, and group therapy using a strength-based approach. She also has experience working with non-suicidal self-injury. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, running, and photography.
