Gretchen received her Master’s from the Joint Master's in Social Work program from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and NC A&T in 2009. She has over 20 years of experience working with young children, Individuals and Families. Gretchen enjoys working with older teens and adult clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety/stress, trauma, domestic violence and other difficult life transitions. Gretchen uses an eclectic therapeutic approach believing that all people are different and heal and grow differently. Gretchen is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Child-Parent Psychotherapy. Other modalities used are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Gretchen has been a Greensboro resident for over 30 years and has three beautiful children. She enjoys the beach, outdoors, reading, cooking, traveling and spending time with her children.
