Monica received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Government Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas and holds a Master’s of Art Degree in Community Counseling from Argosy University in 2010. Monica has experience working with individuals of all ages and is fluent in English and Spanish. She is passionate about assisting clients who are struggling with issues surrounding life changes, anxiety, trauma, depression, ADHD, anger management, and health and wellness goals. She uses evidence based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person centered and play therapy techniques, and Solution Focused therapies. Monica has been receiving training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and seeks to apply a tailor fit range of therapeutic techniques to meet individual needs. Since relocating to Greensboro from Dallas, Texas in 2015, Monica has fallen for the Piedmont Triad area. She enjoys participating in local community events with friends and family, discovering new walking trails, and taking in the beautiful foliage that characterizes Greensboro and surrounding cities.
