Rachel is a psychotherapist working with adults, adolescents, children, and families. She primarily works from a psycho biological approach to treatment. This therapy approach promotes symptom relief and most importantly, more full and congruent living. Psycho biological approaches integrate the use of the whole self in to treatment. Not solely focusing on cognitive functioning, but also using the body as a resource to achieve autonomic nervous system regulation and psychological coherence.
She is trained in and primarily work with the modalities of Somatic Experiencing and Marriage and Family Therapy techniques. Additionally, she practices Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Her primary clinical interests are in trauma recovery and post-traumatic stress, anxiety and dissociative experiences, persons dealing with community, interpersonal or family violence or abuse, and chronic pain and health conditions. Additionally, she has clinical experiencing working with disruptive behaviors and attention deficit challenges.
