My Body is Mine- Healthy Touch Program
PDF Print E-mail

My Body Is Mine is a program that teaches children basic skills to help keep them safe from aggressive, dangerous, or abusive situations.  Group leaders from Family Solutions will introduce healthy touch concepts and information through puppet shows, posters, and fun activities.  Each child will receive a coloring book to take home to share with parents and caretakers.

This program helps create safer classroom environments, promoting thoughtful, nurturing discussions between teachers and children to prevent, address, and solve  problems of aggression, abuse, and sexual abuse.

This program has been done in Guilford County Head Start classrooms the past five years and has now been presented to over 5,000 children in our county since 2007.

Chris and Anita Faulkner perform a "My Body is Mine" puppet show at the Early Childhood Center in Greensboro, NC on February 17, 2012.
