Chanel is currently in the PhD in Counseling and Counselor Education program at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is a clinical mental health counselor intern at Family Solutions in Greensboro location. She is originally from Orlando, Florida. She received her Bachelors at the University of Central Florida, and completed her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Georgia State University. Her clinical interests and experience include bilingual (English and Spanish) counseling with children and adolescents with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and/or acculturation. She has experience in a clinic and school setting. She worked at a Title 1 public high school in Orlando, FL before pursuing her PhD that provided group, individual, and family therapy.
In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family and friends. Her favorite foods are Cuban and Persian food, and loves a cafecito in the morning.
