Sarah Crickenberger, LCMHCA
Sarah graduated with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University Irvine in California. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Spanish Education from Shepherd University in West Virginia. Sarah speaks Spanish fluently and lived in Honduras for nearly 13 years working with socially at-risk children, adolescents, and young
adults.
Sarah views counseling as a privileged opportunity to come alongside clients in their pursuit of healing, restoration, tools for meeting the demands of life, and greater understanding of themselves and their experiences to meet their full potential. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of concerns, including trauma, grief, anxiety, sexual abuse, spiritual abuse, depression, relational conflict, life changes, cultural adaptation, and cross-cultural relationships. Sarah’s approach to counseling draws from person-centered, psychodynamic, attachment-based, and experiential theories. She utilizes Child-Centered Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and trauma-informed techniques tailored for client
needs.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys exploring new places, checking out thrift stores for a good find, reading, writing, cooking with international ingredients, and trying to keep up with her active family.
